Poland: Consumer confidence recovers in November
November 29, 2012
The consumer confidence index (WOK) published by IPSOS rose from 72.1 points in October to 78.2 points in November. That said, the index remains considerably below the 100-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. The improvement was broad-based, with all components of the index increasing over the previous month. The economic climate index improved the most, followed by an increase in the expectations index. Consumers' negative perception of their economic well-being does not bode well for private consumption growth going forward.
