Poland: Consumer confidence edges up in October
October 29, 2013
The Ipsos Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) rose to 82.6 points in October, up from 81.2 points in September. Despite the increase, the index remains below the 100-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. Consumers' views regarding the state of the economic climate improved in October, although they have lower expectations for the future and appear less willing to buy.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect private consumption to grow a meager 0.5% in 2013, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month's estimate. For 2014, panelists see private consumption growth accelerating to 1.9%, which is unchanged from last month's projection.
