Poland: Business confidence reaches one-year low in December

December 25, 2015

The manufacturing sector business climate index fell from plus 2.5 points in November to minus 1.1 points in December, which represented a one-year low, according to the Central Statistical Office’s Business Tendency Survey (GUS-BTS). As a consequence of the drop, business confidence fell below the zero-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect fixed investment to expand 7.5% in 2016, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s estimate. For 2017, the panel sees fixed investment expanding 6.2%.
