Peru: Businesses confidence reaches 10-month high in February

In February, businesses confidence reached 60 points, which was a slight increase over January's 59 points according to the Central Bank's business confidence indicator. Business confidence has been in optimistic territory-above the 50-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism-for six months. February's print marked the highest reading since April 2013. Expectations for demand conditions in the next three months as well as for purchase orders in the next three months improved in February. Businesses revised down their projections for firm's credit access as well as for inventory situation with respect to the previous month. FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect fixed investment to grow 6.9% this year, which is down 0.4 percentage points from last month's forecast. For 2015, panel participants see investment growing 7.6%.
