Peru: Business confidence remains stable in August

In August, the Central Bank's business confidence indicator (indice de Confianza Empresarial) remained unchanged at July's 51 points, maintaining the index above the 50-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism for a second consecutive month. The reading indicates that a majority of firms was optimistic about general economic prospects for the next three months. According to the August survey, businesses continue to enjoy a healthy financial situation and easy access to credit. Moreover, businesses showed a more positive assessment about their current business situation and their sales prospects for the next three months.
