Peru: Business confidence remains stable
December 7, 2012
In November, the business confidence indicator (Indice de Confianza Empresarial), included in the Central Bank's survey of macroeconomic expectations remained unchanged at October's 64 points. As a result, the index sits above the 50-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism for a 17th consecutive month.
The November survey showed that both sub-indicators of overall demand and sales prospects for the next three months remained unchanged in November. Moreover, businesses' assessment of their financial situation also remained stable over the previous month.
