Mexico: Banxico leaves rates unchanged as expected

At its 27 April meeting, the Central Bank (Banxico) left the monetary policy rate unchanged at 4.50%, in a move that was expected by a majority of market analysts. Banxico last adjusted interest rates in July 2009. The Bank noted an improvement in the overall balance of risks to growth amid resilient economic activity despite the "adverse and uncertain external environment
