Lithuania: Industrial production growth slows in November
Industrial output rose 2.9% year-on-year in November, down from October’s impressive 10.9% jump. November’s print reflected a moderate rise in manufacturing output which, coupled with healthy expansions in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector as well as in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities more than offset significantly lower mining and quarrying output.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output fell 1.8 in seasonally and working-day adjusted terms in November, swinging from a strong 7.4% increase in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production moderated from 5.2% in October to an 18-month low of 4.7% in November.
