Lithuania: Industrial production surges in May
June 21, 2016
In May, Slovenia’s industrial production expanded 2.6% over the same month last year. The reading marked a notable rebound over the 2.7% decrease tallied in April. According to the statistical office, the expansion reflected resilient mining and quarrying output as well as a recovery in manufacturing production and electricity, gas and steam supply.
On a monthly basis, industrial production increased a seasonally- and working-day adjusted 3.8% in May, which contrasted April’s 2.7% contraction. The overall trend improved as annual average growth in industrial production inched up from 4.8% in April to 4.9% in May.
