Lithuania Industry September 2022

Lithuania: Industrial output growth wanes in September

October 24, 2022

Industrial output expanded 3.1% year on year in September (August: +17.0% yoy). September's downturn largely reflected a deceleration manufacturing and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning output.

On a monthly basis, industrial production dove 8.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, contrasting August’s 4.7% expansion and marking the worst result since April 2020. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over one-year low of 2.0%, down from August's 4.6%.

FocusEconomics panelists project industrial production to fall 0.1% in 2023 and to grow 3.2% in 2024.
