Lithuania: Industrial production growth accelerates in August
September 21, 2015
In August, industrial production expanded 6.2% over the same month last year, coming in above July’s 5.3% expansion. August’s acceleration mainly reflects an increase in manufacturing output.
On a sequential basis, industrial production dropped 3.5% over the previous month in seasonally-adjusted terms, contrasting the 0.5% increase seen in July and marking the most rapid decrease in five months. Annual average growth in industrial production rose from 3.7% in July to 4.7% in August, thus reaching the highest level in nearly two years.
