Lithuania: Economic growth decelerates in Q3
October 30, 2014
According to the flash estimate released by the National Statistics Office on 30 October, GDP rose 2.6% in the third quarter over the same period of last year. The reading represents a deceleration compared to the 3.3% increase registered in the second quarter and, if confirmed, it would represent the weakest expansion in a year. National accounts figures have been calculated and historical data updated according to the new ESA 2010 standards.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP grew a seasonally- and working-day adjusted 0.4% in Q3, which was below the 0.9% expansion observed in Q2. More detailed data will be released on 28 November.
