Latvia: Industrial output rebounds in September

In September, industrial production expanded 1.3% over the same month last year. The reading contrasted the 0.4% decrease observed in August and marked the first increase after four consecutive months of contraction. September’s rebound was broad-based, but was particularly felt in manufacturing production and in mining and quarrying.
On a sequential basis, industrial production expanded a seasonally-adjusted 1.3% in September, which marked a notable improvement compared to the 0.2% decrease registered in August.
Annual average growth in industrial production inched up from minus 1.0% in August to minus 0.9% in September.
