Korea: Exports increase slightly in November

According to preliminary data, exports registered USD 47.9 billion in November, which marked a meagre 0.2% expansion compared to the same month last year and came in well below the 7.2% expansion observed in October. November's reading represented the second consecutive month of expansion.
Conversely, imports decreased 0.6% in November, which contrasted the 5.2% increase observed in October. The trade balance recorded a USD 4.8 billion surplus in November, which was up from the USD 4.4 billion surplus tallied in the same month last year.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect exports to expand 4.0% in 2013 and to accelerate to 10.7% in 2014.
