Kazakhstan: Industrial production expands for third consecutive month in November
December 15, 2016
Kazakhstan’s industrial production increased 1.1% year-on-year in November, following a 1.2% expansion in October. The result marked a third consecutive month of solid growth, following a year of very poor performance.
November’s expansion stemmed from a rebound in manufacturing production and electricity generation, while mining and quarrying slowed compared to the previous month.
Due to November’s increase, the decline in industrial production ceased and the overall trend is now pointing upwards. The annual average variation in industrial production rose from minus 1.9% in October to minus 1.5% in November.
