Germany: Business confidence picks up in March
Business confidence rose to 93.3 in March from February’s 91.1. March’s result marked the strongest sentiment since February 2022.
The improvement in February was driven by firms in all sectors becoming less pessimistic about current and future business conditions. This likely reflected the rosier-than-expected economic outlook, which has been boosted by stronger-than-expected natural gas stocks and government fiscal support.
