Israel: Consumer prices decline again in August

In August, consumer prices decreased 0.3% over the previous month. The figure was down from July’s 0.4% increase and marked the lowest reading in six months.
Consumer prices fell 0.7% in August over the same month of the previous year, which was slightly below July’s 0.6% decrease. The annual average variation in consumer prices was minus 0.7% in August, matching July’s reading. Finally, core consumer prices, which exclude volatile items such as oil and vegetables, decreased 0.1% on an annual basis. The figure came in below the flat result seen in July.
