Ireland: Industrial output rebounds in September
Industrial production grew 3.5% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in September (August: -4.2% mom). Looking at the details of the release, modern sector output accelerated in September, and traditional sector output also accelerated.
On an annual basis, overall industrial production rose at a faster rate of 44.6% in September (August: +25.3% yoy), the best result since January 2016. Moreover, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 22.0%, up from August’s 17.3% reading.
