Ireland: Industrial production rebounds in October

In October, industrial production rose a seasonally and working-day adjusted 12.1% over the same month last year, which was well above the 0.4% increase in September (previously reported: +0.1% year-on-year). The reading reflected a notable acceleration in manufacturing output, which grew 13.4%, up from the 0.7% increase recorded in September. On a monthly basis, industrial production increased a seasonally adjusted 6.6% over the previous month, which contrasted the 3.8% decrease recorded in September and confirmed the acceleration observed in the annual figures. Furthermore, annual average growth in industrial production increased from 4.6% in September to 5.0% in October.
