Hungary: Industrial production improves in September

According to data released by the statistical institute (KSH) on 8 November, industrial output expanded a working-day adjusted 3.1% over the same month last year in September. The reading came in well above the revised 0.8% expansion recorded in August (previously reported: +0.9% year-on-year).
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose a seasonally and working-day adjusted 1.8% in September, which was up from the revised 0.1% rise recorded in August (previously reported: +0.7% month-on-month). Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged up from minus 1.0% in August to minus 0.8% in September.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to grow 1.0% this year, which is down 0.4 percentage points from last month's projection. For next year, the panel expects industrial output to expand a stronger 3.7%, which is up 0.4 percentage points from last month's estimate.
