Hungary: Growth in industrial production eases in November

According to preliminary data released by the statistical institute (KSH), industrial output in November rose a working-day adjusted 7.0% over the same month last year. The result was below the 12.7% increase observed in October, which had marked the largest expansion since February 2011.

On a monthly basis, industrial production fell a seasonally- and working-day adjusted 1.4% in November, which contrasted October’s 1.7% increase. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production sped up slightly from 7.0% in October to 7.1% in November.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to grow 4.7% in 2016, which is down 0.2 percentage points from last month’s projection. For 2017, the panel expects industrial output to expand 4.4%.
