Guatemala: Inflation rises in September

Consumer prices increased 0.21% from the previous month in September, unchanged from August's reading. Marked price increases for housing, alcoholic beverages, and food were offset by falling prices for recreation and transport.

Inflation came in at 3.7% in September, up from August’s 3.6%. Annual average inflation fell to 4.8% in September (August: 4.9%).

FocusEconomics panelists see inflation ending 2020 at 3.4%. For 2021, our panelists expect inflation to end the year at 3.7%.
