October 30, 2018
Consumer prices rose 0.60% in September over the previous month, up from August’s 0.44% increase. Eight of the 12 components registered an increase in price levels, with food prices rising particularly steeply, followed by less steep increases in prices for health and alcoholic beverages.
Inflation jumped from 3.4% in August to 4.6% in September, moving closer to the upper limit of the Central Bank’s 3.0%–5.0% target range.
