Guatemala: Economic activity stabilizes in April

In April, economic activity rose 3.2% over the same month last year, according to the monthly indicator for economic activity (IMAE, Indice Mensual de la Actividad Economica). The reading matched the result observed in the previous month, which had marked the lowest reading since November 2012.
Despite the stable reading tallied in April, the trend continues to point upwards, with annual average growth in economic activity inching up from 2.9% in March to 3.0% in April.
