June 6, 2014
In April, economic activity expanded 4.0% over the same month last year according to the monthly indicator for economic activity (IMAE, Indice Mensual de la Actividad Economica). The expansion was an improvement over the 3.8% rise observed in March and marked the highest increase since September 2011.
Nevertheless, the trend was stable with annual average growth in economic activity remaining at 3.5%, which mirrored March’s figure.
