The number of unemployed slightly reduced from 1,294 thousands in June to 1,282 thousands in July, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT.).
Following the decline in the number of unemployed, the unemployment rate fell from 26.7% in June to 26.3% in July. July’s reading came in below the rate recorded in same month last year (July 2013: 27.80%) and marked the lowest unemployment rate since October 2012.
