Greece: Industrial production rebounds in November

In November, industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 1.8% compared to the same month last year, which contrasted the 1.9% contraction tallied in October. The expansion reflected a broad-based improvement across the index.

Industrial output in November increased 2.3% over the previous month in seasonally-adjusted terms, which notably contrasted October’s revised 7.9% fall (previously reported: -7.8% month-on-month). However, annual average variation in industrial production fell from plus 0.1% in October to a flat reading in November.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see industrial production contracting 0.2% in 2016, which is up 0.9 percentage points from last month’s forecast. In 2017, the panel sees industrial production growing 1.1%.
