Greece: Industrial production improves in April
June 10, 2014
In April, industrial production contracted a working-day adjusted 2.1% over the same month last year, which followed the 2.7% contraction tallied in March. The figure was driven by an improvement in mining and quarrying as well as in electricity. On a monthly basis, industrial production added 0.87%, which contrasted the 0.68% contraction observed in the previous month.
As a result of April’s reading, annual average variation in industrial production fell from minus 2.6% in March to minus 2.8%.
