Greece: Industrial production growth picks up in September
Industrial production growth gained steam in September, rising from August’s working-day adjusted 1.4% year-on-year to 2.0%. The result was driven chiefly by a jump in electricity production, along with growth in manufacturing output.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production rose 4.3%, notably contrasting August’s over 10.0% fall which had marked the worst result in two years. Annual average growth in industrial production, however, edged down to 1.1% in September from 1.3% in August.
