Greece: Industrial production growth decelerates in September

Industrial production expanded a working-day-adjusted 2.4% in September compared to the same month of last year, which was below August’s revised 5.5% growth (previously reported: +5.6% year-on-year). September’s result reflected contracting output of water supply and a modest increase in manufacturing production.

Industrial output rose 2.0% in September over the previous month in working-day adjusted terms, which contrasted August’s 9.6% decrease. Annual average growth in industrial production rose from August’s 4.7% to 4.9%..

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see industrial production expanding 1.9% in 2018, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. In 2019, the panel sees industrial production growing 2.1%.
