In January, industrial production fell a working-day adjusted 5.0% over the same month last year. The decline followed a 12.4% contraction in December and represented, in fact, the smallest contraction in four months. As a result of the January print, the trend was stable, with annual average variation in industrial production remaining unchanged at minus 8.6% in February.
