Taiwan: Inflation continues to fall in November

Consumer prices fell 0.60% in November from the previous month, contrasting the 0.08% uptick logged in October. The decrease came on the back of notably lower prices for vegetables amid an abundant harvest, coupled with a decline in the price of garments as well as fuel and lubricants.

Inflation plunged to 0.3% in November, from 1.2% in October. Meanwhile, annual average inflation was stable at October’s 1.5% in November.

Core consumer prices, which exclude prices for energy, fruits and vegetables, decreased 0.15% month-on-month, contrasting October’s 0.34% rise. Core inflation was unchanged from October’s 0.7% in November.
