Egypt: Industrial production carries strong growth momentum in October

In October, industrial production expanded 25.7% over the same month last year, which was down from 30.2% increase recorded in September. Despite the decrease, the result marks the third consecutive expansion above 25.0% and provides evidence that the economy is recovering as political stability returns.
On a sequential basis, industrial production contracted 10.2% over the previous month, which was in stark contrast to the 1.8% increase registered in September. Annual average growth in industrial production rose from 1.6% in September to 5.5% in October.
