Ecuador: Consumer prices pick up in April

In April, consumer prices increased 0.82% over the previous month, which more than doubled the 0.34% increase recorded in March. The reading represented the fastest price increase in 15 months. The main drivers behind the monthly rise were higher prices for food and beverage prices (+1.49% month-on-month) as well as for education (+1.62% mom).
