Dominican Republic: Economic activity growth eases in September

Economic activity increased 4.8% compared to the same month of the previous year in September, which was a deterioration from August's annual 5.4% increase.

Consequently, annual average economic activity growth moderated to 6.8% in September (August: +7.3%), which marked an over one-year low.

Lastly, on a seasonally-adjusted month-on-month basis, activity slid 0.2% in September, which was a deterioration from the prior month’s 1.3% expansion.

FocusEconomics panelists see the economy growing 4.8% in 2022, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and expanding 4.2% in 2023.
