Denmark: Inflation eases to lowest level in over three-years

In January, consumer prices fell 0.39% over the previous month, which exceeded the 0.31% decrease seen in December. According to Statistics Denmark (DST), the reading reflected lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for clothing and footwear.
Annual headline inflation fell from 2.0% in December to 1.3% in January, the lowest level since November 2009. In addition, annual average inflation inched down to 2.3% from 2.4% in December. Meanwhile, HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) fell to 1.0% from 1.9% in December.
