Denmark: Business confidence stabilizes in October

October 30, 2015

In October, the business confidence indicator developed by Statistics Denmark (DST) was stable at September’s minus 6 points. The indicator is still resting well below the 0-point threshold, which indicates that pessimists outnumber optimists.

According to DST, October’s reading came mainly on the back of a decrease in total backlogs and completed inventories. On the other hand, production expectations improved in October.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect gross fixed investment growth to reach 2.5% in 2015, which is up 0.2 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2016, panelists forecast an expansion of 3.4%.
