Denmark: Business confidence falls to three month low in November

November 27, 2015

The business confidence indicator developed by Statistics Denmark (DST) fell to minus 7 points in November, following October’s reading of minus 5 points (previously reported: minus 6 points). The indicator has consistently registered readings under the 0-point threshold, which indicates that pessimists outnumber optimists, since May 2014.

According to DST, November’s reading came mainly on the back of a decrease in the confidence indicators for production and stock of orders.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect gross fixed investment growth to reach 1.3% in 2016, which is down 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2017, panelists forecast an expansion of 3.1%.
