Czech Republic: Economic sentiment improves in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 103.0 in October, following September’s 102.6. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In October, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-2.5 vs -5.3 in September), the services sector (+38.0 vs +37.6 in September) and among consumers (-4.3 vs -7.2 in September). On the flipside, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (+0.4 vs +3.1 in September) and the retail sector (+12.4 vs +15.0 in September).
