Croatia: Inflation remains unchanged in October
November 15, 2010
In October, consumer prices rose 0.09% over the previous month, which came in below the 0.34% increase recorded in September. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (Crostat), the monthly increase was driven by higher prices for clothing and footwear (+3.1% month-on-month) as well as for transport (+1.1% mom). As a result of the modest price increase, annual headline inflation remained unchanged at September's 1.4%. The core inflation index, which excludes more volatile categories such as food and energy, rose 0.26% over the previous month, but annual core inflation dropped to zero in October (September: 0.3% year-on-year).
