Croatia: Industrial production rebounds in September

In September, industrial production rose 2.0% in working-day adjusted terms over the same month last year, contrasting August’s 1.7% decline. For its part, the annual average variation in industrial output climbed to minus 0.2% in September from minus 0.6% in August.

September’s rebound was largely driven by a swing back to growth in manufacturing output. Furthermore, the mining and quarrying sector grew after six consecutive months of contraction in September, while production in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector quickened compared to August.

On a month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 2.5% in seasonally- and working-day adjusted terms in September, also rebounding from August’s 3.0% fall.
