Croatia: Industrial production growth decelerates in August
September 29, 2015
In August, industrial output rose 2.7% over the same month last year in working-day adjusted terms, which was below July’s 3.9% increase. The deceleration reflected a deterioration in electricity, gas and steam production, which more than offset an improvement in mining and quarrying.
On a monthly basis, industrial production in August fell 4.1% in seasonally-adjusted terms, contrasting July’s 3.5% increase and marking a four-month low. The overall trend improved as annual average growth in industrial production inched up from July’s 1.8% to 2.4% in August, thus marking the highest reading since June 2008.
