Croatia: Industrial production growth accelerates in September
October 29, 2015
In September, industrial output rose 5.4% over the same month last year in working-day adjusted terms, which was above August’s 2.7% increase and marked the highest reading since April 2008. The acceleration reflected improvements in manufacturing as well as in mining and quarrying, which more than offset a deterioration in electricity, gas and steam production.
On a monthly basis, industrial production in September rose 5.9% in seasonally-adjusted terms, contrasting August’s 4.1% fall and marking the highest reading since January 2014. The overall trend improved as annual average growth in industrial production inched up from August’s 2.4% to 2.5% in September, thus marking the highest reading since June 2008.
