China: Growth in house prices steadies in November

House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities rose 0.3% in November from the previous month, according to a weighted average index calculated by Thomson Reuters from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The print matched October’s result. According to the NBS, the sale price of newly-constructed residential buildings increased in 50 cities (50 in October).

House prices rose 5.1% annually in November, which was below October’s 5.4% increase and marked a 20-month low. Annual average growth in house prices fell from 10.1% in October to 9.5% in November.
