Canada: Manufacturing PMI increases in March
In March, the S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) increased to 58.9 from February’s 56.6. Consequently, the index moved further above the neutral 50-threshold, and signaled a stronger improvement in manufacturing operating conditions from the previous month.
Output and new order growth rose in March, while headcounts continued to increase relative to the previous month. On the price front, both input and output prices remained elevated in March.
