Bulgaria: Consumer prices remain stable in August
September 30, 2015
In August, consumer prices were stable over the previous month, which followed July’s 0.2% decrease and marked a four-month high. According to the National Statistical Institute, the result mainly came on the back of an increase in prices of food and non-alcoholic drinks, which offset a decrease in prices of clothing and footwear.
Consumer prices were stable annually in August, which was above the 0.2% decrease tallied in July. As a consequence, annual average consumer prices inched up from July’s 0.3% drop to a 0.2% fall in August and marked the highest reading since February 2014.
