Bulgaria: Growth in industrial production accelerates in June

In June, industrial output expanded 5.7% over the same month last year in working-day adjusted terms, according to the National Statistical Institute. The figure was above May’s 3.9% increase. June’s reading was the highest since February 2014 and reflected steeper increases in all sectors, with mining and quarrying recording the most notable expansions.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.6% in June, which was slightly below the 0.7% expansion recorded in the previous month. Nevertheless, average growth in industrial production in June increased from May’s 1.0% to 1.4%.
