Belgium: Industrial production dips down in September

In September, industrial production dropped a seasonally-adjusted 1.5% over the previous month. The reading came in below the 0.4% increase reported in August.

In annual terms, industrial production dropped 1.4% in September, swinging from the 3.5% increase tallied in August. As a result, annual average growth in industrial output dipped down from minus 0.1% in August to minus 0.7% in September.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect that industrial output will expand 0.2% in 2015, which is down 0.4 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2016, the panel sees industrial production picking up to a 2.3% increase, which is down 0.6 percentage points from last month’s forecast.
