Belgium: Industrial output accelerates in February

Industrial output increased 6.5% on an annual basis in February, up from a 4.4% increase in January. A breakdown by Statistics Belgium revealed that upbeat gains in manufacturing output drove the outturn.

On a seasonally-adjusted basis, industrial output was stable from a month earlier (January: +5.0% month-on-month s.a.).

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial output to expand 2.0% in 2019, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 3.0% in 2020.
