April 11, 2017
Consumer prices rose 0.3% in March from the previous month, down from February’s 0.5% increase and the lowest reading in three months. According to the National Statistical Committee, March’s increase came on the back of higher prices for services and non-food goods.
Inflation cooled in March, dropping to 6.4% from 7.0% in February. This marked the lowest reading since July 2010. Annual average inflation was 10.6% in March, below February’s 11.2% and also a multi-year low.
